Dental Hygiene Exam & Perio Assessment
What is included in this service:
Medical and dental history (health screening & blood pressure check)
Intra & extra oral exam (head and neck) & Oral cancer screening.
Periodontal assessment.
Hard tissue (dentition) charting
For Long-Term Care Facilities: The Oral Health Assessment Tool will be included in the dental hygiene exam.

Oral Hygiene Instruction and Presentations
Assessment of the Client's current dental hygiene home care routine and recommendations/ personalized plan will be created with them with the goal of improving oral health at each appointment.

Teeth Cleaning (Debridement Including Scaling & Root Planing )
The removal of tartar (calculus) & plaque (harmful, disease causing bacteria) from teeth, implants, bridges and/or dentures.
The price of this service reflects the units of time (15 min intervals) to complete this treatment.
How long it takes to complete a cleaning depends on how much tarter, plaque & debris there is to remove.
For example, if the client has not had a cleaning in over 5 years and there is heavy build up the cleaning will likely take more time to complete, compared to someone who maintains excellent oral hygiene and has regular dental cleanings.
How many times a year a person should have this service depends on their oral health status/ needs
(healthy, stable vs. active gum disease).

Fluoride Treatment
Quick and easy to use topical application of this product will help reduce the risk of cavities and can also help with reducing some root sensitivity.

Offers the possibility of arresting or slowing progression of caries lesions in primary and permanent teeth without removal of sound tooth tissue. In addition, SDF appears to promote remineralization of demineralized dentin (ADA, 2023).
